Hare Krishna Temple

A few months back the Hare Krishna Temple had an India Fest and so we went and enjoyed the food and ambiance. The place is lovely. Enjoy the pictures.

They opened up the temple for people to watch and attend services.

I love the architecture of this place.

Look at the detail!

And the towers!

There were a couple booths for henna.

They were also selling a few items and crafts.

Inside the temple they had a gift shop.

They had a parade and chanting going on around the grounds.

Llamas!

They were so cute.

I might have to come for the llama festival next year. Llama yarn. I wants.

Good shot of the whole place.

They had parrots.

This one was rather chatty.

But, I knew better than to poke at it or get in reach.

Statuary.

Path leading to a pond.

Lily pads!

There were koi fish inside, big ones.

Their representation of the Ten Headed Demon Ravana that was set up for the play of the Ramayana that evening.

A really beautiful spot.

There's a nearly hidden statue in the back area.

More architecture.

Yep. Pretty.

The parade came about again.

Look at the detail!

Deeeetaaaaaiiiiillllll....

The chairs in the dining area were very ornate as well.

The pizza I had, which was very tasty.

Before the play, they had dancers.

And this is what happens at the end of the play. They shot the demon and lit him on fire, and then there were fireworks. All in all, it was a very fun day trip!
