Catching Up, Yet Again

I don't like illnesses, but it was January, which was super busy, then everyone in my household was super sick, so I got super behind on my blogging. But, I'm catching you up with only just under two months' of being behind instead of six months or more like previous. Also, I had to edit and go through almost 300 pictures, so I'm sure you'll forgive me for that! Holidays, man. I'm in the middle of three craft projects and a potential announcement of a big project Rosslyn and I have been working on for months, so the usual Wednesday posts might be on hold until I have new crafting content for them. 1.2.17:  Luminaria Show at Thanksgiving Point 1.4.17:  Twining Vines Hat 1.9.17:  Douglas' Kids Visit for Christmas! 1.11.17:  Fanart of Khorae! 1.16.17:  Christmas Eve 2016 1.18.17:  Mom's Crocheted Burgundy Scarf 1.23.17:  Christmas Day 2016 1.25.17:  Frog and Turtle Reversible Toy 1.30.17:  My Family's...

Crafting Slow Down

The time crunch for Christmas hand knits has begun and with it, my crafting blog posts have petered out. I am working hard on crafts, but I do not have anything I can post at the moment, nor do I know when I will again have my normal Wednesday craft posts returning. I'm hoping to have some doll knits soon-ish, but again, I have no ETA. For now, I'll be keeping to my regular Monday updates with new personal posts until I have something to show!

Last Year's Posts (Playing Catchup)

Image
So... I've been ridiculously silent on this blog. There's a lot of reasons for this, but I will elaborate--somewhat--on them separately. In the meantime, I've taken on the huge task of catching up on my life in the last year and I didn't want to spam post everything over a year after the event this time, so this post will include links to all of those posts that just never made it onto the blog in 2015. I'm posting them the day they happened to keep things in perspective for myself and for all of you. To give you an idea of what I mean, here are the shots of my blog lists that I keep in a notebook. These have all been backburnered for such a long time, I needed to start getting all of this handled. I have linked them in chronological order down below. I hope you enjoy them! 4-5-15: Easter 2015 5-19-15: Jill's Baby Shower 5-24-15: Nampa Fiber Fair 2015 6-10-15: Kyle's Graduation 6-11-15: Elf Ears! 6-27-15: Surpr...

Dreaming Big

What Would You Do If Set For Life? Or, In Other Words, Bucket List! Sometimes I get overwhelmed and wish for things that I don't have, and am ungrateful for what I do. But, after making a list of what I would do with the kind of funds that would set me up for life, I realized that these were things I could still accomplish, but earn them, not wish for them to be handed to me. So, I've turned these things into a kind of bucket list for myself, a list of long-term goals. I am leaving a few things off, as the point of them was anonymity. -Pay off all my debts. -Accelerate my education and get my degree faster (this is unlikely without a better job than even my current one coming through). -Spend time with family and friends (more of it). -Start my own business(es). -Either stop working 9-5 and focus on my education, or change to a more fun 9-5. I would like a job I don't dread to show up for someday. -Go for a master's degree in business. -Go for a music degree a...

Resolution Updates 2012

Doing a checkup on where I am that may or may not become monthly. 1. Continue to work on paying off debts. The strict Pay off Debts goal last year was a teensy unrealistic for a one year goal. *Get car loan moved to credit union by the end of January.        ~I went to my bank and discovered that it is cheaper for me to keep my loan where it is, so this goal is completed. *Create budget that allows a small savings and debt reduction plan by the end of This Week.        ~I admit, I hadn't done this one and then my job changed. So I don't know what I'll be making week to week. 2. Get healthier: cleaning up my diet and exercising. My sedentary job has ruined the progress I made at the beginning of last year.        ~I've done a few things, but largely I haven't been successful, though my work in the restaurant downstairs is helping me get more exercise. 3. Take a self-defense and/or dance class (several is good). *H...
