We Need to Stop Meeting This Way

The law and I, I mean. I got pulled over for my brake lights not working. Running around trying to handle that around my work schedule is not fun. So far, I'm in my second module of school taking some refreshers on computers and math. It's been awhile, so while I'd rather get out of math asap, I do need the brushing up. I did qualify and receive my laptop, and boy is it nice! Roughly 300 GB and running Windows 7. I'm quite happy with it. Having a mobile computer is rather strange in some ways but I really like being able to type in bed. So far I've ported all of my old computer's files to the laptop and am slowly adding my music (that takes much longer). My main issue is having an active job and school schedule means I have a practically dead social life. Ah well. I need to do this, and it needs to happen. Hopefully I can get out of the remedial stuff as soon as I can and get onto the good stuff. I got the paperwork to get the hold off my transcripts at BYU

More Healthy Steps Forward

Doesn't this pic make you want to drool? Now, I made a couple of those in the pic (they were delicious, by the way). But my problem is...they are not good for anything other than my tongue and my endorphins. So I'm (very sadly) going to be limiting my sugar intake from now on, if I can bear to (just limiting, cutting them entirely is cruel and unusual punishment for someone who isn't diabetic). I was a perfect size 14 in my bust and my hips...and a perfect size 18 at the waist. Now, I do not mind the first sizes, but it actually really hurt to see my waist size. Now, I have lost weight this year and I'm nowhere close to thinking that I'm not doing well or that I haven't made progress, because I am and I have. I can only imagine what my sizes were before now! Worse, I'm sure. I know I've lost 4 inches at the waist this year so f

Booboos and New Opportunities

Sometimes one should really pay attention while one is sewing. I stabbed myself with a pin and when I bandaged it so it would stop bleeding, the anesthetic left me a kiss to make it all better. So a couple weeks ago I applied for the office assistant position at the pizza restaurant I work at. Last week I had my first interview, this past Wednesday I had my second interview with the owner, and then yesterday they called me upstairs to talk. "So, we interviewed a lot of people and we liked you the best." Is that not a promising start to the day (so what if it was noon)? I now have a full-time, benefited position, complete with a monthly meal card (eating for free, oh yeah). I started this morning, working half the day upstairs and the other half downstairs in my old uniform, finishing my shifts for the week. After tomorrow morning, I'm done, and I start Monday with my new 9-5, Monday through Friday position. It's been my goal for the last several years to get that k
